Meet our founder and President, Clay Adams. The table he promised his wife he’d make has grown into everything that Rustic Trades Furniture is! He is our biggest visionary and creative. He leads Rustic Trades with energy and excitement – ready to take on every new opportunity! When he isn’t in the showroom managing Sales & Marketing, connecting with team members, sketching up custom tables, or making commercial sales you can find him outside or spending time with his wife and three kids!
Josh is the brains and organization behind everything that goes down in our shop. He leads our team of craftsman, overseeing everything from ordering materials to lining up deliveries. He is thorough, smart, and witty. He drinks more coffee than anyone you know and loves a good read. Josh is a former fire fighter and white water raft guide. When he isn’t at the shop he can be found entertaining his kids or spending some quality time in the outdoors!
Meet Holly! She is our Project Manager and one of our go getters. She is incredibly organized, a strong self-starter, and manages all things financial for us. She has been with Rustic Trades for over four years now and is passionate about setting our team up for success. Holly is a new mom and when she isn’t working she spends much of her time caring for her new daughter or alongside her husband.
Elise has been on our team since the beginning. She is our powerhouse sales woman and brings so much energy into the team. She is a doer! If you’ve placed an order with us, you’ve most likely gotten to know her well. Elise has done it all – she is an ex classical pianist, college athlete, and otherwise known as “Rustic Trades Mom.” When she isn’t making sales or managing the showroom, she can be found with her two yellow labs or family.
Christen is the right hand girl to Elise, making sales and crushing it! She works in our showroom helping with residential sales and specializes in designer sales. She is the newest addition to our sales team and is so outgoing and fun! Christen is a proud dog mama and you can always find her with her two pups, Cassie & Vanity. She loves hiking, yoga, and traveling!
Meet Rachel! She manages our socials, betters our website, writes blogs, and does all things marketing. She can always be found with a coffee in hand and is passionate about wellness. She is new to our team and works alongside our lead creative, Clay. She is a doer and makes things happen for us!
Meet Michael! As our shop foreman, He works alongside our Production Manager, Josh. He oversees all projects our craftsman are working on and specializes in our custom builds. He has an art degree and has the creative eye and skill to create gorgeous customized pieces. Michael is local to Georgia and spends his time outside of the shop alongside his wife and daughter.
Zach is one of our lead craftsman, specializing in leg design. The legs on your Rustic Trades table were most likely created by him! Zach is incredible creative and loves seeing his pieces go from start to finish. He is a Georgia native who is obsessed with dogs and can’t wait to have his own. You can find him across the city going to concerts and discovering new artists.
Recognize Chad? He most likely hand delivered your table to your space! He is our regular delivery guy but when he is at the shop, you can find him building legs. He is a musician who spends his nights and weekends jamming and playing gigs with his band! If you’ve come to our Christmas party then you’ve seen him play.
David is one of our talented craftsman. He specializes in building our farm tables, specifically our tops. David enjoys working in this trade as it keeps him busy and sustains his merriness. He is a Georgia native and enjoys spending time with his three dogs. There is no one like David and he makes the shop fun and interesting!
Matt is a craftsman at our shop. You can find him building tables, benches, and barn doors! He loves the trade as he enjoys working with his hands and creating beautiful things. He is married and enjoys spending quality time with his family as well as getting active outside. He loves hunting, fishing, camping, and really anything outdoors!
Ross is a US Coast Guard veteran (Semper Paratus!) and University of North Georgia alumnus. He is also brother-in-law to Clay Adams, who hired Ross as the first employee of Rustic Trades in 2011. Ross grew up admiring the talents of architects like Frank Lloyd Wright and furniture designer and woodworker Sam Maloof. His greatest passion is woodworking and he spends most of his time learning and developing his craft. When he’s not in the woodshop, you will find him, rock climbing, mountaineering, mountain biking and enjoying the amazing outdoor splendor of Colorado with his wife, Rebecca, and their two dogs.
Rebecca is wife to Ross and has been an official part of the Rustic Trades family since 2015, though many date nights prior to that were spent helping in the shop. Her father and grandfather are both hobbyist woodworkers who watched numerous episodes of The New Yankee Workshop throughout her childhood. It was there that she learned the basics of woodworking and grew an appreciation for master carpenter Norm Abram’s methodical, detailed approach to building. It is a joy for her to serve as a liaison between clients and the shop team, and she loves to continuously expand her carpentry and interior design knowledge. In her free time she enjoys photography, hiking, watching football (Geaux Tigers!) and spending time with family.
Scott is our shop entertainment. He claims he charges for the singing but the woodworking is free. He is a US Army veteran, small business owner and joined the Rustic Trades team in 2018, bringing with him over 15 years of carpentry experience. He enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Olivia and their three kids, camping, fishing and watching NASCAR.
Adam rivals Scott as the shop’s favorite redhead. He is currently pursuing a Fine Woodworking Degree at Red Rocks Community College. He has a strong appreciation for the works of famous woodworker George Nakashima, and many Japanese influences are visible in Adam’s personal woodworking projects. When Adam is not in one of his woodshops, you will find him rock climbing or cruising around in his 1974 Volkswagen Westfalia with his wife, Michelle.
Cory is a member of the US Air Force Reserves and current student at UCCS. He was our first Colorado team member and is devoted to improving our finishing process everyday. He enjoys building barn doors and beautiful cutting boards and, most recently, he has taken up wood carving and whittling in his free time. He is also the shop prankster and enjoys keeping the team laughing.
